Swissotel Resort Kolasin Set to Open in November 2022

If you are a Ski Lover then you’ll know of the beauty of Kolasin, which is a resort town situated in the North of Montenegro at an elevated position of around 954m. Surrounded by mountains, it’s frequently visited by thousands of tourists each year, and is the perfect adventure getaway for those who wish to hit the slopes and escape the City Buzz.

Currently the resort offers 45km of slopes available with a variety of difficulty and there are 7 lifts which transport guests up to heights of 2035m, but this is all due to change due to a recent investment in the area, with the new K16 resort currently under construction, which will consist of two hotels with 368 units, 7 apartment buildings with 583 units and 28 family villas. There will also be additional ski slopes, and cable cars putting this area firmly in the sights of the Skiing world.

The newest hotel there is set to open in November 2022, and will be a Four Star premises under the control of the Accor Hotel Brand in association with Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts who are very well respected for their intelligent design, quality craftsmanship, mindful approach to sustainability and vibrant ‘Alpine Feel’. Aptly named Swissôtel Resort Kolasin, the hotel will offer its guests 116 rooms, a fabulous restaurant & bar, business area, Spa & Ski room.

Sonja Becanovic who is the PR Manager of Kolasin 1600 Ltd, mentioned in a recent press interview that ‘we are proud to cooperate with a global hospitality leader to invite more guest from all over the world to discover Montenegro at its full glory. Our goal is to build a luxury hotel with special care of the local architecture to make our guests feel relaxed and comfortable’.

Kolasin 1450 is already an established resort in the area and with the new Kolasin 1600, there will be a combined ski trail length of 60km, and once its finished both resorts will be part of a much larger network connecting eight ski resorts from five municipalities with a combined ski trail of 250km.
