There were 35 boats in total which were separated into 6 classes, and there were around 200 sailors, plus a good number of visitors who watched the spectacle, and enjoyed the lavish celebrations that were laid on after the event had finished.
The general sponsor D-Marin Portonovi Marina and JK ‘Jovo Dabovic’ organised the two day event including the night’s socialising in the village. The overall winner of the regatta was the Black Mistery sailboat with skipper Saša Keković from Herceg Novi.
The festivities included Klapa song, and local traditional music including some of the better well renowned tunes from across the globe, and there was plenty of beer, wine and food to go around!
The organisers have already said that they will be putting on another one soon, and of course, we look forward to seeing it! We’ll be sure to take some pictures too, but better still, if you are a sailing fan, why not come along to the next one yourself, and take time to enjoy the splendid hospitality Montenegro has to offer?
