Luxury All Inclusive Hotel Chain Rixos Open their Doors in Perast

I know that we’ve gone on quite a bit now about new hotels opening within Montenegro but all this does is provides evidence of the progress that Montenegro is making within the tourism sector, which is only a good thing if you are looking to buy a second home here or move to the country for a permanent lifestyle change. Tourism brings about so much more, other than just an influx of people during the holidays!

The newest resort chain to invest in Montenegro is Rixos, which strives to combine the ‘all-inclusive’ within a family orientated, luxury, vibrant setting. Their motto is ‘Making holiday dreams come true for everyone’ and currently they have hotels in Turkiye, UAE, Egypt, Croatia, Qatar, Russia and Kazakhstan.

Opening in April 2023, The Heritage Grand Perast by Rixos is situated in the Coastal town of Perast, just a short 20 minutes away from the UNESCO World Heritage town of Kotor, along with being easily accessible to both the International Airports of Tivat & Podgorica. Tivat is the closest of the two and shouldn’t take any more than 30 minutes, whilst it’ll be around 2 hours to Podgorica.

Taking full advantage of the stunning views consisting of both the Adriatic Sea and the Mountains, The Heritage Grand Perast will offer 130 rooms, a diverse range of restaurants and bars, three seafront terraces, an outdoor swimming pool, Spa and Sauna plus a private beach dock which will serve cocktails and snacks. It will be the most amazing venue for those on holiday, those who’d like an exclusive wedding venue, and those who wish to host meetings in the most beautiful of settings.

The site of the hotel has actually been fully renovated over the last two years having formally been the site of an 18th century palace, one of only 16 in the town. It belonged to the noble Smekja family who played an important part in the history of the area, and were members of Kotor’s nobility since 1779. It was Petar Smekja who ultimately helped establish the families wealth, creating economic ties between the Baltic States and Venice. He was made a Count in 1748 and construction of the Palace began in 1764. It is the biggest of all Palaces in the town, situated next to the Church and the Square of St Mark.

The Chief Business Officer of Rixos Hotels, Francois Baudin, commented recently that ‘Over the last two years, we have lovingly and painstakingly renovated The Heritage Grand Perast, a historic palace rich in culture and importance to the local area. We're delighted to partner with Accor and Rixos, who will breathe new life into the guest experience from start to finish, welcoming existing and new guests worldwide to enjoy what they do best – creating memorable experiences’.
