Now serving multiple destinations within Europe and the Balkans, connecting Montenegro to major European cities, such as Frankfurt, Moscow, Vienna, and Zurich – they’ve just introduced a new route for the Winter Season, which will see their fleet travel between Podgorica and Rome, a service which used to be operated by Whizz Air until they decided to downgrade the route to be just ‘Summer Only’.
Starting December 15th, with flights and Monday’s and Friday’s making it perfect for a weekend visit, the expectations are that the route will carry around 30,000 passengers annually though this could quite easily increase given the demand that was seen during the peak of 2018, when just over 46,000 travellers used the route.
The convenience of Air Montenegro's network has played a pivotal role in bringing tourists to the country, and with an increasing number of international travelers visiting Montenegro, the local economy has witnessed a notable boost. Destinations currently include Belgrade, Bratislava, Zurich, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Copenhagen, Lyon, Paris and Prague, amongst a few others.
With Air Montenegro's commitment to quality, sustainability, and the nation's development, it is likely that the airline will continue to soar to new heights and contribute significantly to Montenegro's growth on the world stage.
