The Rubix festival is heading to Porto Montenegro on the weekend of the 27th July, along with the prestigious Superyacht Rendezvous which hasn’t been in existence since 2016. Lustica Bay situated just a few kilometres from the UNESCO world heritage resort of Kotor is a new multi-billion-euro town development project, built in partnership with Orascom & the Montenegrin Government.

Tourism is a highly important economic entity for Montenegro contributing a total of around 25% of its GDP, welcoming more than three times its overall population in foreign arrivals every year.

I know that we’ve gone on quite a bit now about new hotels opening within Montenegro but all this does is provides evidence of the progress that Montenegro is making within the tourism sector, which is only a good thing if you are looking to buy a second home here or move to the country for a permanent lifestyle change. One of the world’s largest hotel chains has announced continued investment in Montenegro today with plans for a new Hotel Development, which is set to be built in the coastal town of Becici and will open in 2025, offering superior accommodation options and a first class service.

Montenegro might not be the place that one would immediately think of when looking at places in which to Scuba Dive, but with many underwater cliffs, caverns, shipwrecks and a plethora of Marine life along with crystal clear warm waters, it’s becoming a growing trend which is beginning to have a highly positive impact on the country’s increasing tourism.
